Job Overview:
The Youth Academy Football Goalkeeper Coach is responsible for the development and coaching of goalkeepers across various youth age groups within the academy. This role involves delivering high-quality, age-appropriate goalkeeper training sessions that enhance technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of goalkeeping. The coach will work closely with other academy staff to ensure a consistent development pathway and promote a positive, professional, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver structured goalkeeper training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Develop and implement individual and group goalkeeper development plans aligned with the academy’s philosophy and curriculum.
- Monitor, assess, and evaluate the progress of goalkeepers and provide constructive feedback to players, parents, and staff.
- Collaborate with academy coaches, fitness trainers, and medical staff to ensure holistic player development and injury prevention.
- Support the integration of goalkeepers into team training and competitive matches.
- Foster a positive and inclusive coaching environment that encourages player growth, confidence, and discipline.
- Stay updated with the latest coaching methods, trends, and best practices in goalkeeper training.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in talent identification and recruitment for the goalkeeper positions within the academy.
- Attend coaching meetings, workshops, and continuous professional development sessions as required.
