1. Who we are
Beirut Football Academy (“BFA”, “we”) is responsible for the personal information described on this page. Beirut Football Academy, Furn el Chebbek, Beirut, Lebanon. Questions and requests: info@bfa-lebanon.com.
2. What we collect and why
Forms on this website. When you send the Join the season, Contact or Careers form, we receive your name, email address and phone number, and what you write in the form: for Join, your child’s year of birth, gender and nearest branch; for Careers, the role you are interested in. We use it only to answer you and, for Join, to arrange your child’s place. The form goes directly into our academy system.
Players and parents. When your child plays at BFA, we keep what we need to run the season: the player’s and parents’ names, date of birth, contact details, team, attendance and payments. These are kept in our academy system and the BFA app, and only staff who need them can see them.
Visits to this website. See section 4.
3. Who helps us
We do not sell or rent personal information, and this website shows no advertising. These companies work for us and only use the information to provide their service:
- Vercel hosts this website and counts visits (without cookies, see section 4).
- Odoo runs our academy system: the forms, event sign up on academy.bfa-lebanon.com, the BFA app and the chat on this website.
- The chat. First answers come from an automated assistant (Odoo AI, which uses OpenAI) that answers only from the pages of this website. “Ask a Human” passes you to our administration. Please do not share health or payment details in the chat.
- Google Analytics, only if you accept (section 4).
- WhatsApp (Meta), only if you tap the WhatsApp button. The conversation then follows WhatsApp’s own terms.
- Google Maps, only if you tap Show map on a branch page.
Some of these companies store data outside Lebanon, in the European Union or the United States.
5. How long we keep it
- Website messages that do not lead to joining: 2 years after the last contact.
- Player and parent records: while the player is with BFA and 5 years after, then deleted or anonymised.
- Job applications: 1 year, unless you agree to a longer time.
- Google Analytics: Google keeps the data for the period set in the account, at most 14 months.
6. Your rights
Under Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data, you can ask to see the information we hold about you or your child, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to its use. Write to info@bfa-lebanon.com and we will answer within 30 days. Parents and guardians make these requests for children under 18.
7. Children
As a youth football academy, we take extra care with information about children. We collect a child’s information only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Photo consent, per child
Since September 2026, photos and videos of a child are only published with the consent of a parent or guardian, given for that child in the BFA app. The consent can be changed at any time in the app. Children without an answer are treated as not consented.
8. Security
The website and our academy system use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to player and parent records is limited to staff who need it for their work.
9. Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
